MSLE Strategies: Tips and Tricks from an O-G Toolbox
Have you ever wondered about the difference
between a digraph and a diphthong? Have you struggled to explain to
your students when and why c says /k/ or when it says /s/? Are you able
to clearly convey when the vowel will be making its short sound and
when it will be saying it's name?
This interactive workshop is aimed at classroom teachers and those
wanting to learn more about students with learning disabilities and
some effective Orton-Gillingham strategies to enhance their classrooms.
This training will include: Understanding the LD Learner,
multisensory strategies for teaching basic phonograms and spelling
generalizations, spelling rules and syllabication, penmanship and
non-phonetic words. Suitable for classroom teachers, LAC
teachers, Special Educators, Homeschoolers and those wanting to learn
multisensory strategies for teaching in the classroom or in small
groups. O-G Certification not required for this training workshop.
Lunch will be provided each day. *Note: While taught by a fully
accredited Orton-Gillingham trainer, this is not Orton-Gillingham
certificate training and does not include a practicum nor a final exam.
